Christmas
Give the most beautiful gift of Christmas – flowers that brighten up the home.
Order flowersHand-made by a florist in Logan and delivered Monday to Saturday. Order by 2pm on a weekday or 10am on Saturday, Queensland time, for same-day delivery to Regents Park.
Regents Park is a residential suburb in the City of Logan, 33 km south of Brisbane's CBD and 20 km from Logan Central, with 11,103 residents (2021 census) in 4.8 square kilometres. It was subdivided from Browns Plains in 1974 and was briefly going to be called Emerald Hills. Almost everything here is houses, three primary schools and eight parks, which makes flower delivery to Regents Park a doorstep job: a florist from the Logan area makes up the bouquet and drives it to the door, and we take the order and the card.
Regents Park and its neighbours are one delivery area: Browns Plains and Hillcrest to the north-west, Heritage Park to the south-east, Boronia Heights and Park Ridge to the south, and Forestdale, Crestmead and Logan Reserve a little further out. Park Ridge is the one to watch: its population more than tripled between 2016 and 2021, from 2,503 to 8,455, and many of the new streets are not on older maps, so add the recipient's mobile number. Greenbank, beyond Boronia Heights, is rural residential with large bush blocks and the army's Greenbank training area; give the property name and say where to leave the flowers if nobody answers. For an office in Grand Plaza at 27-49 Browns Plains Road, or a teacher at Yugumbir or Regents Park State School, give the person's name and a phone number so the driver can find them.
Order before 2pm on a weekday or 10am on a Saturday, Queensland time, and the bouquet goes out the same day, Monday to Saturday. There is no Sunday delivery. Queensland never changes its clocks, which works in your favour if you are ordering from the south in summer: from October to April, 2pm in Regents Park is 3pm in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra and Hobart and 3.30pm in Adelaide, so you have an extra hour. In winter the east coast clocks match and Adelaide is half an hour behind, so the deadline there is 1.30pm. From Perth it is noon all year. Later orders are delivered the next working day or on a date you choose.
The nearest public hospital is Logan Hospital at the corner of Armstrong Road and Loganlea Road, Meadowbrook, a 448-bed hospital with maternity, intensive care, paediatric and cardiology wards. Ring the ward before you order: intensive care and some wards take no fresh flowers, and give the patient's full name and the ward when ordering. If the patient is due home soon, send to the house in Regents Park instead; the flowers will still be fresh when the patient arrives.
Regents Park has no cemetery of its own. Logan City Council runs seven, among them Logan Village Cemetery at the corner of Waterford-Tamborine Road and Pioneer Drive, while Great Southern Memorial Park at 1774-1794 Mount Cotton Road, Carbrook, on the eastern side of the city, is a cemetery and crematorium. Many services are held in funeral directors' own chapels around Browns Plains. Tributes for the service go through the funeral director or a florist near the chapel and need two or three days' notice; delivery to the service itself is never guaranteed, so give the family's home as a second address.
Brisbane's Royal Queensland Show, the Ekka, runs from 8 to 16 August 2026 at Bowen Hills and draws around 400,000 people from across the south-east. Mother's Day is Sunday 9 May 2027, the busiest flower day of the year; with no Sunday delivery the flowers arrive on Saturday 8 May and the cut-off is 10am, so order early in the week. Father's Day is 5 September 2027. Valentine's Day on 14 February falls in the humid height of a Queensland summer, so roses are safest delivered to a workplace or a home where someone is in to put them in water. Anzac Day on 25 April is marked with rosemary and wreaths, not bouquets.
Logan has a humid subtropical climate: January maximums average 29.8 degrees, July minimums 8.8, and about 1,108 mm of rain falls a year, most of it in summer. Humidity shortens the life of soft blooms, so in summer the florist leans on chrysanthemums, gerberas and dahlias and keeps the bouquet out of the sun. Autumn, when Mother's Day falls, brings dahlias, chrysanthemums and proteas; the dry winter is tulip, ranunculus and chrysanthemum season; spring means peonies, tulips, ranunculus and sunflowers. Roses are available all year. Choose a seasonal bouquet and the florist picks what arrived freshest that morning.
Bouquets start at AUD 75. Delivery is added at checkout and your message goes on a card at no charge.
